World Missions For Christ Church, founded in 1982 by John and Kris Bowyer, is a Spirit‑filled ministry dedicated to preaching the message of the cross and the unchanging truth that sin is still sin. We believe in the power of the Holy Spirit to move freely through prophecy, speaking in tongues, the laying on of hands, and dancing in the Spirit. Our services are led by His presence, not by programs. Everyone is welcome to encounter God, grow in faith, and experience His transforming power.
Meet Our Team
- Pastor
Our Church founder and first Pastor was Rev. John R. Bowyer, he and Wife Kris Bowyer started our church in St. Marys Ohio in 1983, before moving it to Sidney Ohio a couple of years later. He went home to be with the Lord in 2015, but his contributions to our church will never be forgotten. He helped so many in his time as Pastor, and was the type of man to give you the shirt off his back. He was a no-nonsense man, a strict disciplinarian, but also had a wonderful sense of humor. He is greatly missed by all, and we hope he would be proud of how we have carried on as a church and a family.
